This post is about the fact that the size of Israel in the world until now has been comparable to the size of a bomb shelter in someone's home (mamad); it would be generous to evoke a shelter like that in an apartment building or public building such as a store (miklat), and not a real country. Consider that all the last 2000 years has been devoted to getting rid of the Jewish people from the face of the earth. This plan has not succeeded, and never will, with God's help.
Friedrich II (we know him as Frederick the Great), the famous king of Prussia from the mid-to-late 1700s, once asked his Lutheran pastor for a proof of God's existence. "The Jews!" said he. Or something like that. In case you want a little context, during the period of his reign the USA was created (1776). The reference in this paragraph, above, also mentions that he was a Freemason.
Many quotes of the answer use different words and it's hard-to-impossible to choose one. But, the discussion wasn't in English. I used the search term "frederick the great asks proof of God" on Duck Duck Go to confirm what most people older than me know, so that younger readers like us can get the point. You can do it, too. How many versions there are! and none of them contradict the others.
Frederick, like many other rulers, was also a Jew-hater. He even didn't allow the Jews under his authority to marry! (Keep 'em small, weak and dependent...) Read a more detailed account HERE.
The 'bomb-shelter state' concept (I doubt that I came up with it alone, but I don't know anyone else who calls it in this manner) includes just enough room to keep us alive, albeit with the threat of annihilation always around the corner from the Jew-haters on all sides, and sometimes right in the face of its citizens.
The world has challenged God to keep us alive and brave in the face of the nations. I'm writing this for the day that we are free to widen our borders to the proper proportions set aside for us, as stated in the HOLY SCRIPTURES (Tana"kh). I think the world knows that, but certain people want to claim that we're not the descendants of the original Hebrews of yore.
In some circumstances it is best to proceed in a direction the outside world doesn't want, doesn't expect, doesn't think we deserve, and doesn't even think will happen...ad infinitum...because they think we will take orders from America and Europe forever.
I guess they don't read their Bibles, or don't take them seriously if they do.
Please read this article to the end — and then make up your mind. Please be aware that it was written and published at the end of December 2025. A lot of water has flowed under that bridge since then, and you may be a while tracking it down, if you haven't been reading things from our side of the story.

Maybe God has let us remain in this condition because our leadership has mistakenly left people in the country who don't belong here, and even promoted them above us in the eyes of the citizenry. This makes them think they will succeed in taking it over, and away from us.
Maybe it's because a lot of Jews here still haven't made up their minds to start observing Shabbat: a signal to God that He comes first.
But what do I know?
Our enemies among the ruling elite almost succeeded in the past 2-and-almost-a-half years since the "October Seventh" massive murder attack (known to us as the Simchat Torah massacre). It can no longer be politically correct to keep them in ascendance above the people for whom the country derives its name; and maybe this is the test that will reveal the spiritual Erev Rav (mixed multitude) among us: Who is still in favor of this situation?
Remember that Abba Eban called Israel's former borders — the 1949 armistice lines — "Auschwitz borders." Are these the only borders our elites and the nations they serve will accept from us? HOW DARE THEY???
(The ones we have now, from 1967, aren't much better as it stands. We must declare sovereignty over them, regardless of whose interest it is that we give up our very right to take decisions that are good for us.)
It seems to me that there is a shift going on. Both Europe and the US have agreed in the past on keeping us down, and the rest of the world took advantage of that fact. But things are changing as the war goes on.
We are looking for authenticity, and discovering that we must embrace our own identity, full culture and the One behind it all, as well as our language and basic parts of our culture (mainly kashrut and Shabbat/holiday observance, at home as well as in synagogue. Some take on more; others, less. Many different versions of our culture have already shown up, the result of having been among the nations for extended periods.
Trying to emulate the nations has not worked for us. It turns out that they can "flip from one thing to another on a dime." It didn't take very long for them to embrace same-gender marriages and expensive operations to change from the gender God gave them (and their children — horrors!) to the opposite! And now Islam is taking advantage of the confusion that resulted, and many will "fall on their sword" unless they wake up!
Thank God we aren't discussing gender issues in Israel any more, or so it seems. Teshuva (returning to Israel for the reason we're here) is the current wave. The elites here brought it on themselves (see the Jewish Home News article dated November 2025, link below). These waves will only get stronger, with the help of God!

The only question I have is: Who is still supplying the Iranian regime with missiles and bombs?
