We have an opportunity to show how serious we are about our existence...take it now.

Here are several sides to what could have been a prelude to even more disaster for Israel and Jews. Thank God for making the multi-miracle to make sure it didn't happen!!! Here's a lovely article about the miracle from R' Yair Hoffman on VIN. I'm borrowing his picture because...this is really the main thing we should be thinking about, regarding the event that just happened.

In other news: Channel 14 reports: Saudis back Israel terror assessment in midair stabbing attack

Two stories from Israel Unwired: Micha Gefen: Terror in the Cockpit: Israel's New Aviation Nightmare; Fiamma Nirenstein: Heroic Israelis Avert a Tragedy.

There are many more if you want to go there. Today, I want to go to the next step, if we're serious about our survival as a nation, not just a religion.

I suggest: Take Judea (pronounced "Jew-DAY-ah") and Samaria and make them permanently part of Israel, no matter what it takes. Don't stay in denial of the fact that there is plenty of silent testimony on the part of the land itself, that it belongs to the Jews.

If we want to survive without so much interference, the first step is to take the land bordering on the "green line" and erase that line. Take the Jordan Valley along with it.

Being so small — that the word Israel is too large for it on a map, as the comedian "Dr." Yohai Sponder says, in his heavily-accented Israeli English — is a huge temptation to the nations around us and beyond, to wipe us out, no matter how much technology we have.

Only HaQadosh Baruch Hu can keep us alive and well in our homeland, no matter how small or how large it is.

And, just below, we have a map, and we can't make up our mind whether to keep, or distance ourselves from, Judea and Samaria. But I'll tell you — if we take them out of the map, it looks like we have a huge wound where they were. Think about it!

Below was what I had in mind for Yom Kippur, but it was too late before I could post.

Since my last post, HERE, I managed to get some things straight regarding the issue of land laws in Israel. For one thing, apparently a number of years after the declaration of the state, the government actually did get rid of the Ottoman land laws within Israel as the world knows it.

What they haven't done is the same thing for the lands "next door" — we know them as Judea and Samaria, the rest of the world knows them as the "West Bank" — they are also actually mentioned in the Torah, and I need to be very clear here — the nation needs to do teshuva for not having accepted them (that is, declared sovereignty) as part of the state right after we won them back in 1967!

But we can also refer to them as Shomron (Samaria) and Yehuda (Judea), and also Aza, which the world calls Gaza. I've deliberately mixed up how people usually refer to them. They are not exactly one and the same; these "territories" are like states, shires or provinces in English-speaking countries. They are united only in one context, as of now: They share the same status: Not-exactly-accepted as part of Israel.

The most obvious thing, at least for me: They're on our maps as though they are part of the state — I looked them up online again, and they are attached as though they are, even though they are labeled as not-exactly-Israel. Doesn't that seem strange to you, dear reader?

Can't we make up our mind?!?!

If there were maps of Israel only of what is accepted by the world, I'm pretty certain that there would be a lot of panicked Israeli citizens out there, who would then realize how vulnerable we've been all these years — as though it hasn't been that way all along.

For that matter, any Jew who has something negative to say about this situation may have to think more than twice about how they haven't taken responsibility for doing their part to make things better for all of us.

The fact that they are not accepted as part of the state, governance-wise, tells me (I don't know about you, dear reader...) that there is some divisiveness and indecisiveness involved. One of the changes made on online versions of the map is that WEST BANK is clearly marked in Judea and Samaria; GAZA and most recently, GOLAN HEIGHTS are marked similarly in the areas designated for them (even though the Golan was accepted as part of Israel a long time ago, some of those maps even exclude the GOLAN HEIGHTS. How dare they!).

Really, we should be thankful for the Jews who have been daring enough to settle more and more of that land, especially those who are called Hilltop Youth, many of whom aren't teenagers anymore, even without wide support from the government. (There are some members of the Knesset who support them, but the rest of the system does not, notably the judicial system, the upper echelons of the army, and many others who don't depend on citizen votes to keep their jobs.).

At least you, dear reader, whether you are a Jew or a sympathizer with us, should have this to think about along with all the other things we all have to think about.

And thank God many times again for the multi-miracle of the airplane rescue!

We must all remember that God never runs out of miracles, especially for those who love Him!!!

I hope I have not hurt or offended my readers in any way, knowingly or unknowingly, unless they have bad intentions against Jews or the Jewish People (since I don't know who my readers really are.). I sincerely ask those who mean well for me and my people for your mechila, selicha and kapara. May the pitka tava (good note) we received be for life, goodness and redemption for this year, 5787.
